Our Mission & Beliefs

about us

NewLife Mission Church is a Pentecostal Christian organization founded in the 1980s by Swedish missionaries Bengt and Eila Sundh. The church’s Statement of Faith includes belief in the Bible, the Trinity, Jesus Christ’s deity, baptism in water and the Holy Spirit, and the unity of believers.

The organization has grown significantly, now operating 22 branches across Kenya with over 3,100 members including children. The church is currently led by Senior Pastor Rev. Karl, along with two regional pastors (Pst. Joshua Muli in Ongata Rongai and Pst. Henry Lumbasi in Mashuru), with a total of 25 pastors serving across all branches.

Statement of Faith

What we believe as a member of the Pentecostal Fellowship

We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, as the Word of God, infallible and authoritative.

We believe in One God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in divine healing as provided for in the atonement.

We believe in the blessed hope - the rapture of the Church at Christ's coming, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment.
