Violence against children increases in difficult times

Maasai girl Gloria (which is not her real name) is 13 years old and has been saved from female genital mutilation by New Life Mission. Gloria grew up with her family in one of the Maasai areas. Her mother and grandmother began secretly planning her genital mutilation. Gloria’s sister found out about this and informed her of what was going on. She reported this to the area manager who in turn reported it to the office with child protection! New Life Mission was asked to receive the girl, so in collaboration with the police, the girl came to the KariAnne home and is now safe as a result of all the fantastic monthly donors who are involved in making this possible!
